Hey Guys!
So I thought I would bring a YouTube video out of the archives for you today. As a makeup artist, I have a ton of tips and tricks that I am excited to share with you. This one is about filling in your eyebrows with brow colour. You might even have something similar in your personal makeup arsenal. Eyeshadows are very versatile products and since they are safe to use around your eyes they are generally perfect for the rest of your face as well. Imagine the possibilities! Make sure to watch the whole video below for an industry secret that I have used for years to hold my brow hair in place. Now I know the video is a few years old but the rules discussed here still apply today. Enjoy!
If you are not able to watch the video or don’t want to play it because you need silence. I got you. Just turn on the closed captioning or scroll below the video for the main points.
As always, let me know in the comments if you have any questions or are interested in learning a specific tip to help you achieve the look you want. I am an open book. I am happy to share what I have learned over the last 25 years that I have been in the beauty industry.
Main information from the video:
I use a brow powder but it's actually an eyeshadow. It's from Bobbi Brown and it's
the eyeshadow in the colour SMOKE. It is not really brown and it's not grey it's kind of a mix of the two so I find for my dark hair, this colour is perfect.
I use plain chapstick or lip balm with a spoolie mascara wand. All I do is take some on the end of the mascara brush and just run that through my brow.
If chapstick just doesn't do it for you and you need a little bit more of an intense hold for your brow hair to stay in place. Use a glycerin-based soap.
Take another spoolie and get a tiny amount of water, run the brush over top of the soap bar until you see that there's a little bit of residue from the soap on the spoolie.
I'm just gonna run that all the way through on my eyebrow and then I'll let it dry.
it'll actually dry clear and it'll stay in place perfectly.
I actually do the powder after because I find that it holds on to the colour a little bit better and I get more intensity.
I have an angled brush and I always start in the middle of my brow.
Here's a tip when you take the brow powder or any powder basically the first place that you place it is going to be the most intense in colour.
Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.
